Payments & Credits

This guide explains how money and Credits work on INKO.RUN — for both players and creators. For the full legal terms, see our Terms of Service.

The exact rates and figures below (revenue share, holding period, withdrawal minimums) are the current values at the time of writing. The pricing page and Terms of Service always show the authoritative, up-to-date numbers.

What are Credits?

Credits are INKO.RUN's in-platform virtual currency. You buy them in the app, and they power two things:

  • Players spend Credits to unlock paid chapters and items in stories.
  • Creators spend Credits to pay for AI generation (text, images, and more).

Credits have no value outside the Platform. They can't be transferred to other users or exchanged for cash — the only exception is creator revenue withdrawals (see below).

How do I get Credits?

Top up on the in-app wallet page. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. The available packs, currencies, and any bonus offers are shown at the point of purchase and may vary by region and promotion.

Top-ups and purchases are available only to users aged 18 or over. Users aged 13–17 can create and play for free, but can't use paid features.

For players: what do I pay for?

Browsing and playing are free to start. You only spend Credits when you choose to unlock a creator's paid chapter or item. Playing and chatting within a story does not charge you per message — you only pay for the specific content a creator has put behind Credits.

For creators: how does AI generation cost work?

Creating and publishing are free. When you use AI generation in the editor, it consumes Credits based on usage. These Credits are a platform service fee that covers model and compute costs — they are not revenue-shared and don't come back to you as earnings.

For creators: how do I earn money?

When a player pays to unlock a chapter or item in your work, you keep the creator revenue share (currently 70%) of that purchase, and the platform keeps the rest as a service fee (currently 30%). This applies to every eligible purchase, calculated per transaction. The pricing page shows the current split.

When does my money arrive?

Earnings are held for a confirmation period (currently 30 days) after each purchase. This covers refunds and anti-fraud checks. After that, eligible earnings move into your withdrawable balance.

How do withdrawals work?

To request a withdrawal:

  • Your withdrawable balance must reach the minimum amount shown in the app
  • Your account must be past a short waiting period after you register or first top up
  • The request is reviewed and approved by the platform

Withdrawal functionality is being rolled out progressively during the platform beta. Availability and timing are announced in the app.

Can I get a refund?

  • Completed Credit top-ups are generally non-refundable, except where required by law or in the event of a verified service fault.
  • Credits you've already spent (content unlocks, AI generation) are delivered immediately and can't be returned.

If you run into a payment problem, reach us through the contact page.

Is there a subscription?

Not at launch. INKO.RUN is pay-as-you-go with Credits — play for free, pay only when you want more. If we add a membership later, we'll explain the benefits clearly, and it won't change the creator revenue split.

Spending limits

To keep things safe, the platform may apply a daily spending limit and other anti-abuse controls on Credits.
